First for Dumfries & Galloway was of leaf-mines found at Langholm on 11th October 1952 by E. C. Pelham-Clinton.
Other sites: Closeburn, Penpont.

First was found at Caulkerbush on 12th October 1952 by E. C. Pelham-Clinton.
Other sites: Birch Hill Wood near New Galloway, Hannaston Wood SSSI, Lochaber Loch, Wood of Cree.

First was of leaf-mines found at Kirkcowan on 6th October 1963 by E. C. Pelham-Clinton.
Other sites: The Forest.
 
Life cycle
Univoltine. Mine season is during September through to April.
 
Larval foodplants
Oak and Sweet Chestnut.
