First was found on the Drumlanrig Estate on 18th May 1975 by E. C. Pelham-Clinton.
Other sites: Ecclefechan.

First was found at an unknown site by person unknown prior to 1975 (MOGBI data).
Other sites: Mabie Forest, Threave Estate NTS.
 
VC74
First for Dumfries & Galloway was of leaf-mines found at Whithorn on 12th October 1959 by E. C. Pelham-Clinton.
Other sites: Castle Kennedy Gardens, Dunskey Glen, Kirkcolm, Kirkcowan, Torrs Warren.
 
Life cycle
Bivoltine. Mine season is during June and August to September.
 
Larval foodplant
Beech.
