First for Dumfries & Galloway was found at Penpont on 12th October 1958 by E. C. Pelham-Clinton.
Other sites: Caerlaverock, Caerlaverock WWT, Stenhouse Wood SWT.
 
VC73
First was found at Palnackie on 29th May 1965 by E. C. Pelham-Clinton.
Other sites: Balcary, Balcary Hill, Carrick near Borgue, Carsfad near Dalry, Clifton, Lochaber Loch, Skyreburn, Wood of Cree
 
VC74
First was found at an unknown site by person unknown prior to 1985 (BRC/MOGBI data).
Other sites: Kirkcolm, Lady Bay on Loch Ryan, Torrs Warren.
 
Life cycle
Bivoltine. Mine season is during July and September to October.

Hawthorn.
