First for Dumfries & Galloway was found near Dumfries during 1860 by William Lennon. This record may refer to VC73 as Dumfries is on the counties border.
Other sites: Kelhead Moss Plantation, Kettleton, Tarras Water, Trailtrow Moor.

First was found at Kirkconnell on 13th July 1976 by Sir Arthur Duncan, specimen at National Museums Scotland.
Other sites: Bennan near Merrick, Bennan Hill near Mossdale, Cairnsmore of Fleet, Castramont Wood, Craigneldricken, Craignine in Glentrool, Glenlee, High Creoch, Knowetop Lochs, Loch Enoch, Silver Flowe NNR.
