First was found at Corsemalzie House Hotel near Mochrum on 27th June 1988 by E. C. Pelham-Clinton.
Other sites: Castle Kennedy Gardens, Lady Bay on Loch Ryan, Newton Stewart.
Life cycle
Bivoltine. Mine season is during May, July and September to October. Adults appear in June, again in August and possibly again in October from where it overwinters, emerging in April.
Larval foodplants
Apple, Birch, Blackthorn, Cherry, Hawthorn, Plum, Quince, Rowan, Whitebeam and Wild Service.
