First for Dumfries & Galloway was found at Closeburn on 6th September 1970 by Sir Arthur Duncan, specimen at National Museums Scotland.
Other sites: Blawbare at Closeburn, Caerlaverock, Connansknowe at Kirkton, Dornockbrow, Eskrigg NR at Lockerbie, Glencaple, Perchhall Loch SSSI.

First was found at Auchenshore on Auchencairn Bay during 2003.
Other sites: Barcloy Hill, Edingham, Ken-Dee Marshes RSPB, Kirroughtree, Milton.

Identification
Form decorana (photo) is seen as much as the nominate form. Another f. pavonana occurred at Castle Wood, Caerlaverock on 1 August 2013.
