First was found at Locharbriggs on 19th May 1982 by Sir Arthur Duncan, specimen at National Museums Scotland.

First for Dumfries & Galloway was found at Abbey Burn Foot on 30th May 1965 by E. C. Pelham-Clinton.
Other sites: Abbey Head, Auchenshore on Auchencairn Bay, Auchenskeoch, Barlocco Bay, Carrick, Castlehill Point, Colvend, Howwell Bay, Kippford, Knowetop Lochs SWT, Laggan at Sandyhills, Little Raeberry in Mullock Bay, Mersehead RSPB, Old Torr, Red Haven Bay, Rockcliffe, Sandgreen, Southwick Coast SWT, Wood of Cree.

First was found at The Forest in late June 1989 by E. F. Hancock.
Other sites: Airyolland Lodge on Luce Bay, Garheugh, Near St Ninians Chaple.

Larval foodplants
Mines leaves of many grasses.
 
Identification
Unmistakeable with all white coloration.
 
Habitat
Grassland of all types, including saltmarshes.
