First for Dumfries & Galloway was found in Colvend parish during July 1871 by Francis Buchanan White and was of the form warringtonellus.
Other sites: Carsfad near Dalry, Castlehill Point, Cleugh SSSI, Colvend, Longue Tongue at Port O'Warren, Mersehead RSPB, Milton, Old Torr, Red Haven Bay, Silver Flowe NNR.

First was found near Monreith during July 1899 by K. J. Morton, specimen at National Museums Scotland.
Other sites: Airyolland Lodge on Luce Bay, Chapel Finian, Craignarget, Dranigower near New Luce, Gass, Killantringan Lighthouse, St Helena Isle.
