First was found at Kirkconnell on 1st July 1977 by Sir Arthur Duncan, specimen at National Museums Scotland.
Other sites: Auchenskeoch, Carsfad near Dalry, Cleugh SSSI, Hannaston Wood SSSI, Kenmure Holms SSSI, Kirkconnell Flow NNR, Knowetop Lochs SWT, Mossdale - Loch Skerrow disused railway, Parton, Wood of Cree.

First for Dumfries & Galloway was found near Monreith during July 1899 by K. J. Morton, specimen at National Museums Scotland.
Other sites: Elrig Loch, Torrs Warren.
