First for Dumfries & Galloway was found at Colvend in August 1902 by K. J. Morton, the specimen now at the National Museums of Scotland.
Other sites: Auchenshore on Auchencairn Bay, Auchenskeoch, Barcloy Hill, Bargrug, Bennan Hill near Mossdale, Carsluith, Clifton, Glen Trool, Ken-Dee Marshes RSPB, Kirkmabreck, Low Cordorcan, Mersehead RSPB, Milton, Minnigaff, Old Torr, Rockcliffe.
