First for Dumfries & Galloway was published in Stephens (1834) with the Rev. William Little recording it at "Loch" (VC72), which is believed to be Lochwood Moss nearby to Raehills where he resided. Other sites: Castle Wood at Caerlaverock, Corncockle, Courance, Eskrigg NR at Lockerbie, Ironhirst Moss.VC73
First was found at Kirkconnell on 4th July 1977 by Sir Arthur Duncan, specimen at National Museums Scotland.
Other sites: Cardoness Wood, Carsfad near Dalry, Carsluith, Craigend in Mabie Forest, Glenlee, Hannaston Wood SSSI, Ken-Dee Marshes RSPB.

First was found at The Forest during June 1989 by E. F. Hancock.
