First for Dumfries & Galloway was found at Caerlaverock on 26th August 1981 by Sir Arthur Duncan, specimen at National Museums Scotland.
Other sites: Maxwelton House, Courance.

First was found in Mabie Forest on 22nd September 2001.
Other sites: Balcary.

First was of a larval spinning found on Salix atrocinarea at Elrig Loch near Mochrum on 28th June 1988 by E. C. Pelham-Clinton.
Other sites: Kirkcolm, Torrs Warren.
Life cycle
Univoltine. Mine season is during July to September. First generation appears in September, overwintering, re-emerging in spring until May.
Larval foodplants
Aspen, Poplars, Sallow and Willows.
