First was found at Castlehill in Kirkmahoe parish on 4th July 1976 by Sir Arthur Duncan, specimen at National Museums Scotland.
Other sites: Connansknowe near Kirkton.

First for Dumfries & Galloway was found at Needles Eye near Caulkerbush on 20th July 1963 by E. C. Pelham-Clinton.
Other Sites: Loch Ken, Old Torr.
