First was found at Tynron on 22nd July 1951 by Sir Arthur Duncan, specimen at National Museums Scotland.
Other sites: Castlehill in Kirkmahoe parish, Connansknowe near Kirkton.

First for Dumfries & Galloway was found in Colvend & Rockcliffe parish during 1871 by Francis Buchanan White.
Other sites: Adam's Chair, Auchenshore on Auchencairn Bay, Balcary Heughs, Bennan Hill near Mossdale, Carsfad near Dalry, Cleugh SSSI, Corsock, Ken-Dee Marshes RSPB, Laurieston Forest, Low Cordorcan, Mullock Bay, Old Torr.

First was found at Corsemalzie on 27th June 1988 by E. C. Pelham-Clinton.
Other sites: Cardryne near Drummore, Caves of Kilhern, Chapel Finian, Craignarget, Dranigower near New Luce, Eggerness Point near Garlieston, Garheugh.
