First was found at Closeburn on 20th August 1970 by Sir Arthur Duncan, specimen at National Museums of Scotland.
Other sites: Blawbare at Closeburn, Castlehill in Kirkmahoe parish, Connansknowe near Kirkton, Corserig Hill at Kelloholm, Courance, Dornockbrow, Eskrigg NR at Lockerbie, Glencaple, Heathhall Plantation.

First was found at Baron's Craig Hotel at Rockcliffe on 27th May 1962 by E. C. Pelham-Clinton.
Other sites: Airie Farm near Mossdale, Almorness, Auchenshore on Auchencairn Bay, Barlocco, Carsfad near Dalry, Castramont Wood SWT, Edingham, Kippford, Mersehead RSPB, Milton, Mullock Bay, Rascarrel Bay, Sandgreen, Sandyhills, Wood of Cree.

First for Dumfries & Galloway was found at Killantringan Lighthouse on 24th October 1914 by D. A. Mowat the keeper.
