First for Dumfries & Galloway was found at Castlehill in Kirkmahoe parish on 27th September 1970 by Sir Arthur Duncan, specimen at National Museums of Scotland.
Other sites: Bowhousepark, Connansknowe near Kirkton, Courance, Stenhouse Wood SWT Reserve.
VC73
First was found at Portling on 25th August 1976 by Sir Arthur Duncan, specimen at National Museums of Scotland.
Other sites: Auchenshore on Auchencairn Bay, Milton.

First was found at Mull of Galloway RSPB Reserve on 18th September 1998 during a 'Grey Daggers' Moth Group field meeting.
Other sites:Dunskey Estate near Portpatrick, Glenstockadale near Leswalt, Newton Stewart.
