First for Dumfries & Galloway was published in Stephens (1834) with the Rev. William Little recording it at "Loch" (VC72), which is believed to be Lochwood Moss nearby to Raehills where he resided. Other sites: Castle Loch at Lochmaben, Castle Wood at Caerlaverock, Castlehill in Kirkmahoe parish, Closeburn, Connansknowe near Kirkton, Courance, Dyke Farm NR at Moffat, Heathhall Plantation, Racks Moss.VC73
First was found at Kirkconnell on 7th September 1977 by Sir Arthur Duncan, specimen now at National Museums of Scotland.
Other sites: Auchenshore on Auchencairn Bay, Carsfad near Dalry, Carsluith, Darnaw near Clatteringshaws, Edingham, Ken-Dee Marshes RSPB, Low Cordorcan, Milton, Mullock Bay, Old Torr.

First was found at Barsalloch Point on 23rd August 2003.
Other sites: Auchie Glen, Cairnhead, Dunskey Estate near Portpatrick, Glassoch, Glenstockadale near Leswalt, Lady Bay at Loch Ryan, Maryport, Milton Point.
