Resident. Rare.
Flight period
History
The first for Scotland and Dumfries & Galloway was found in Mabie Forest on 27th July 2011.
Life cycle
Possibly two generations. Overwinters as a pupa that is attached to a leaf or stem. Larva are present during July and August.
Larval foodplants
Beech.
Identification
Unmistakeable.
Habitat
Beech woods that are mature, but also hedgerows with Beech.
