Coverage

With Dumfries and Galloway covering some 6500km2 and a population numbering c150,000, it is perhaps not surprising that coverage of the region for moth recording is patchy.  The map below shows the number of species recorded in each tetrad (includes records up to 2009 and some 2010 records).  Click on the map for a larger version. Dumfriesshire is the least well recorded of the three vice counties, particularly the eastern half.  Records from any new squares, or from those with few species recorded, would be greatly appreciated.
